Complete
Support/Service Program Flexibility of Performance Personalized Care Hassle-Free Transactions
OUR COMPANY ETHIC
Monitor’s discipline, the backbone of our company ethic, is “Setting
The Standard For Supplier Excellence”. Our goal is to always
deliver to our customers a combination of product quality, price
and ease of purchase that no one else in our industry can match.
Maintaining customer loyalty, and generating good “word of
mouth” is vitally important to Monitor’s day-to-day business.
Outstanding service is of key importance to Monitor because we see
service as critical to providing ease of purchase.
COMPLETE SUPPORT/SERVICE
PHILOSOPHY
“Service” is often an over used word. It does not differentiate
traditional field service supplied against a purchase order, which
all manufacturers should provide, with a complete support/service
program aimed at providing hassle free transactions, which Monitor
provides.
Our dedication has existed for over forty-five years.
SecureCare is what industry
leading, hassle-free service and support is all about. SecureCare
is an alliance between Monitor and our customers. It is designed
to guarantee your satisfaction and confidence in Monitor’s
ability to meet all the expectations you have for a premium vendor.
SecureCare is perpetual, not bounded by a purchase order.
LEADERSHIP
There are three basic tenets to SecureCare(SM). First, is flexibility
in the way we do business. This means having hardcopy and electronic
sales support materials; being able to interact with you over
the phone, the Internet, or in person; prompt delivery of
standard
products with the ability to provide for 24 hour emergency shipments;
and
much, much more.
Second, is what we call the “personal touch”.
We want to get to know our customers intimately, and we want our
customers
to have a sense of family with our team of professionals. For example,
our receptionist will answer the phone in our home office during
business hours, not an answering system. You will be directed to
the Monitor associate best suited to handle your request promptly,
courteously, and with a smile. All the associates at Monitor are
committed to being immediately available for every inquiry.
Third,
Monitor is not content to be a “me too” company.
We strive to be the company that shapes your expectations on products
and services. We continually challenge ourselves every year to “raise
the bar” and expand the educational materials, sales literature,
sales tools, product features, product delivery and field services
that SecureCare provides.
FROM OUR PEOPLE TO YOURS
SecureCare(SM) service and support begins with a staff of professionals
that combine the skills of mechanical engineering, electrical
engineering, and industrial and software design, with over 45
years of application
experience in point and continuous level measurement of powder
and bulk solids, liquid and slurry applications. We provide cost-effective
and innovative measurement solutions as well as any support you
need
to quickly and effortlessly implement those solutions into your
facility.
SecureCare continues by providing exceptional sales/technical
literature and sales support materials to make it easy for you
to select and
specify the right instrument for any level measurement application.
In addition to sales literature, Monitor produces educational
material aimed at better understanding point and continuous level
measurement
instrumentation so that you can avoid costly misapplications.
Monitor’s
series of interactive, multi-media CDs dedicated to making instrument
selection simple and fool proof is a great example. In addition,
Monitor periodically offers web-based seminars on our products
or a measurement related issue, which our customers can view
over the
Internet in the convenience of their offices. Interactive product
CD's and the web-based seminars are offered free of charge. SecureCare
includes an advanced, full feature web site at www.monitortech.com.
This web site contains information about Monitor and all our
products, industry Solutions and a Showcase of information. You
can ask technical
questions on any of our products using our Technical Bulletin
Board or our “Ask Fred” on-line “live chat” function.
SecureCare also means that our products will be delivered on-time
as needed. Our manufacturing operation is designed for most standard
products to ship within 2 to 5 days from receipt of an order.
In addition, Monitor maintains sufficient inventory of parts
and completed
units to provide emergency same-day or 24-hour shipment. This
means a lower cost of ownership to you by not having to stock
parts and
complete instruments locally for processes demanding minimal
down time. Monitor products are designed to be plug-in-place,
meaning
simple installation and start-up by your own personnel without
any specialized training or tools. Monitor is an ISO 9001 certified
manufacturer.
The quality and durability of our products allows
Monitor to offer industry-leading warranties. SecureCare is designed
to
give Monitor
customers “tender loving care” unmatched by any company
in the industry. We want our customers to have a “sense
of family” when dealing with Monitor associates or any
of our authorized representatives and distributors worldwide.
We hope that
you agree, and we are interested in any comments or suggestions
you might have concerning SecureCare, or any of the services
and support
functions it provides. Please call us at 800-766-6486, and ask
to speak with Joe Lewis, our Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Global Flour Processor Uses Flexar® Guided Wave Radar
A large global flour processor and food products company recently began using the Flexar® guided wave radar in a total of eighteen (18) silos and bins to manage their finished product inventory. Readings from these continuous level sensors is reported as being reliable and accurate, even during pneumatic filling, contrary to their previous measuring system. A previous non-performing ultrasonic system was replaced by the Flexar level sensors. Flexar guided wave radar level sensors were chosen as the best for pneumatically filled dust laden flour silos.
Eight (8) Flexar level sensors are installed in load-out silos that fill bulk trucks with processed and finished flour. These silos are 12ft in diameter and 35ft tall. The finished flour is pneumatically conveyed into these silos. During filling the internal environment of the silos is very dusty and turbulent. The finished flour in these silos is used for loading bulk transport trucks for distribution. In addition, ten (10) Flexar level sensors are installed in 40ft high bins that contain bran. This material is also sent by bulk transport to end users.
All of the Flexar level sensors are equipped with an RS485 digital communications output that is connected to a PC with a graphical user interface for inventory management purposes. Monitor’s SiloTrack™ inventory management software is used by the facility to monitor and manage material inventories of both the finished flour and the bran. SiloTrack allows for multiple user viewing and data access via LAN and this is how the facility will be using the software that provides a flexible, graphical user interface, alarms, report generation and history analysis functions.
Guided wave radar is especially well suited to level measurement applications of dusty powder materials even when measuring during pneumatic filling. Flexar guided wave radar utilizes TDR (time domain reflectometry) technology. Radar pulses are continuously transmitted down the sensor’s probe and guided to the material surface where they are reflected back to the electronics along the wave guide. The time-of-flight of the pulses is measured and directly related to the distance to the material surface and its level.
